Turn up at Alfold Parish Council on Thursday – or forever hold your peace.

Because the Thakeham Thugs want to turn Alfold into a new Woking!

The must go-to read are the hundreds of pages of Thakeham Thugs Tosh (TTT) on the Waverley Planning portal for its last application to see how devious they are.

Its first cunning plan  back in 2015 was a Hybrid Application for 400 Homes plus accommodation at Care Ashore, This latest incarnation is outline for 400 homes… But Thakeham fail to mention they already have 99 Homes being built next door, so lets just call it 500 homes shall we?

This increase in development on the land owned by The Merchant’s Seaman’s War Memorial Society called Care Ashore has resulted in a “Master Plan” that shows building heights of between 10.5mtrs to 13mtrs.

Do you get that folks ? 10.5. to 13 metres

Bearing in mind an average 2 story building is between 6.1 – 7.6mts, a 3 storey is 9-10mtrs and a 4 storey is up to 12 mtrs…. Someone do the maths!

They are “Offering” a Community Space /Hub/Cafe – Wakey, wakey ALFOLD HAS  ONE ,  Provided by the Vistry Development on the A281. A development of almost 100 homes that hasn’t got off Waverley’s groaning desks yet!

 a TRIM TRAIL… is also proposed.

The parish is soon to install an arge outdoor multi gym with running track near the Village hall. Other tasters include Allotments and Orchards… The Only people that may want to make use of those will be the Poor New Residents who will potentially have Postage-Stamp Gardens, there is no longer any Provision for a School as SCC have confirmed there is no requirement for one. So all off to Cranleigh or, perhaps into Sussex?

So what does Alfold get out of this?

More Cars on the A281
More Sewage belching into peoples gardens or being tankered out? Would you Adam and Eve it. We have heard that it was followed on its way to … WOKING!

Less Power than Alfold already has – which means more regular power cuts
More people who will need to access Health Services and Schools

TTT’s  “Consultation” with local residents back in 2023-24 were laughable and it revealed  only LAST WEEK  the publication of the  feedback which clearly indicates that there was ZERO Support for their proposals.

But since when have the TTT’s ever cared what villagers think?
