So coveted are the tickets for tomorrow’s Alfold Parish Council meeting that Ticketmaster has suspended sales due to popular demand.

Its website has been bombarded with requests for tickets to hear what Waverley’s Great & Good will have to say about ‘Alfold New Town’ when they square up with either MP Jeremy Hunt or perhaps his bag carrier – or maybe even both?
Is that anarchy that we can smell in the air at Alfold – or is it just the usual Poonami? We understand it is currently being tankered by Thames Water and shipped upstream along the A281 through Guildford. The mutter in the gutter claims it was last seen heading towards Woking!
As Woking is already up shit creek, another few dump loads won’t matter.

The prospect of Alfold sinking under even more concrete from wannabe developers and landowners is bringing out into the Alfold boondocks, Waverley Council Leader Paul Follows and his deputy and Planning Portfolio holder, Liz Townsend.
They will be leaving Waverley Towers behind to hear first-hand how angry villagers have become at the prospect of another 500 homes.
The latest housing shedload that will add to the shitloads that are permeating the village as its sewers belch effluent into residents’ gardens and across their playing fields. So, could it be standing-room-only tomorrow evening, Thursday, at 7.30 p.m. at Alfold Village Hall?

One of the noticeable pieces of information that was released in the planning documents, was the collated resident survey data. It appears that the parish council had received this months ago, and met with the thugs several times.
Why has there been no communications of this fact, and why do the thugs categorically believe that the parish council 100% supports the 499 homes, and why do they have the impression that the villagers 100% support the destruction of their way of life?

There is a straightforward answer to your question. The clerk of Alfold Parish Council is, quite simply, useless. Worse than useless. She never posts the minutes of meetings onto the website, and the meeting agenda does not go out within the statutory period. We are told that councillors seldom get the minutes of the last meeting by the next! There is no hope until Alfold has a properly functioning group of village leaders. The Clerk doesn’t pay bills on time; she allows councillors to meet privately as a council with all members present. All completely unlawful. No public was informed, and no notice was displayed. Several government inspectors have pointed to the shortcomings of the Alfold Parish Council, which the developer’s legal representatives appraised. It would be a joke if the situation on your patch weren’t so serious; perhaps if more people tocked up to meetings they could see for themselves.

But to be fair to the APC the Date on the Feedback form on the Waverley Planning portal is January 2025 – So I do not think it is the the Parish Council at fault on this one, nor do I believe they had meetings with Thakeham, since the Consultations.
We have to be Measured and Honest and get our facts RIGHT or Thakeham will Crucify us… They have Legal-Eagles that earn more per week then most of us earn in a Year! – BE CAREFUL and get the INFORMATION right – We cannot afford to screw this up – PLEASE
