As travellers have taken over parts of the Village Way Car Park.

Motorists should take great care of parking in the available spaces as very young children and dogs are running around.

A formal notice is being served today, Thursday. Waverley Borough Council is serving a section 77 notice to the 21 vehicles unlawfully parked at Village Way this morning, requesting that they leave the location by 4:00 p.m.

If they do not move on, Waverley has obtained a court hearing on Friday morning to apply for section 78 of the relevant legislation, which will require them to leave the land. Waverley will instruct bailiffs to enforce the notice if they do not move on.
