Are Waverley residents waking to the sound of Spring bird song or the Cuckoo? No! Many are now waking to the sound of HGV’s pounding past their doors as lorries carrying heavy plant and machinery race towards the numerous building sites across the borough!
But worse – much worse – they are waking to the sound of chain saws as they bring down our trees and hedgerows!

Sadly too late for the Ancient Woodland on the Berkeley Homes Scheme in Cranleigh! The trees in and around Farnham, Haslemere and Godalming. But then Liz the Biz , ‘Your Waverley’s’ head planning honcho told councillors – new trees could always be planted as their replacements!!! … and assured them “we are quite sure the circumstances are “exceptional.”
