Surrey Healthwatch investigating Cranleigh’s Pharmacy and GP Services

Healthwatch wants to hear local people’s views on Pharmacy and GP provision in Cranleigh.

Surrey Healthwatch has been hearing a lot from Cranleigh residents about the impact that recent changes to GP and pharmacy provision have on them—particularly the less mobile who rely heavily on local services.

To respond to those concerns, Surrey Healthwatch has developed a short online survey to try to capture these views and build an accurate picture of the level and nature of this impact.

Abby Rodd – The Guildford & Waverley place lead said:

The more responses we have the more we may be able to challenge the Integrated Care Board on local pharmacy provision.

Healthwatch Surrey is an independent organisation (established under the Health and Social Care Act 2012). Among its statutory obligations is to listen to the views of local people on health and social care and to feed these back to service providers and decision-makers to inform, influence and challenge decisions.

The organisation has asked Cranleigh League of Friends to promote the survey and has urged the residents who use the Cranleigh Health Services, including those in the outlying villages of Ewhurst, Alfold and elsewhere, to respond.

Healthwatch has attached the flyer below, which provides a web link and QR code to access the survey and a link to our social media channels.

  1. If you build 2,500 houses without consulting with The NHS about available resources then what do you expect. If you dump hundreds of houses in the middle of nowhere without a plan then health services will be stretched
