Save the date to remember Charlie Cosser the Milford lad stabbed to death at a Sussex party.

The fatal stabbing of a Milford teenager devastated his family – including his grandparents, former Waverley Borough Councillor Steve Cosser.

A teenager who cannot be named for legal reasons was found guilty this week of the young Milford teenager’s death.

Charlie, a keen footballer, died following a stabbing at a party in Warnham near Horsham in West Sussex. His attacker, after being found with blood on his hands, pleaded guilty but then changed his plea to not guilty. The Cosser family endured a harrowing two-week trial at a Brighton court. The trial ended with a guilty verdict this week.

The Cosser family wants everyone to join them on August 17th for a spectacular day of inter-village competitions, music, and food—something for the whole family to enjoy!

Kicking off with a fun run in the morning, friendly village rivalry in the afternoon, a new world record attempt, and finishing with live music as the sun sets over Milford.

The Crown Prosecution Service South East said this week:
“We were able to prove, from various witness accounts, that a knife was brought to the party, even though the knife that killed Charlie was never found. The defendant was clearly intent on violence that night, as he was overheard talking to others about ‘beating someone up’.
Though nothing can bring Charlie back, his family can find some comfort in the fact that the offender has been brought to justice.
Our thoughts remain with them at this time.
