A much needed study, “every year older American falls result in 3.6 million Emergency Room visits and 1.2 million Hospital stays that cost $80 billion. Ref: Wall Street Journal 27 November 2024. For the elderly a fall can result in a lifetime handicap or fatality. The corresponding figures for the NHS are not transparent.
