Crunch time for Surrey’s local authorities.

On Thursday, the leaders of all Surrey’s 12 local authorities will meet with Ministers from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, along with their teams, to discuss Local Government Reorganisation.

A crucial meeting that will see the sands of time running out for our local authorities as we know them, with a once-in-a-generation move by the government that will affect us all.

Waverley makes a once in a Generation decision.

  1. The primary factor in this is

    YOU

    At no stage have

    YOU THE PUBLIC

    Been asked for your opinion.

This is tyranny. Look it up if you think I’m wrong.

    YOU

Didn’t ask for this and you were not allowed to vote on it.

It is being imposed for your own good.

    YOU

Are told by Government this will improve local democracy, more control over local matters.

    YOU

Have had no opportunity to disagree or question.

The attitude of Kaiser Tim is that the public do not engage in the democratic process ( as seen in the voting figures) and as a consequence he can do as he likes. He intended to do this long before Auntie Angie and ger Labour Government was in the scene.

A special last minute addition to the counties allowed to take part in this scheme was made, to include Surrey and thus last minute entrant was to be first to go through the process.

And we all know what happens to prototypes.

Such is Kaiser Tim’s desire to get his way he is willing to sacrifice the very soul of the county on the altar of Auntie Angie’s policy.

    This will not end well.

    Meaningless Mud
