URGENT! HAVE YOUR SAY ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT RE-ORGANISATION

WW There is considerable concern that local Government reorganisation is being done TO US – rather than FOR US. Whether we like it or not.

Some even believe that regardless of what we at the grassroots say, including our borough, district, and county councils, the Government will impose its will upon us.

An IMPORTANT  message from Our Leader at ‘Your Waverley’

Cllr Paul Follows says: Please do have your say on this significant change for our area.
. As there is very little formal consultation on this debate by the government (or anyone else), many of the Boroughs and Districts believe that there needs to be an apolitical way for residents to make their views known.
Please see the link below:
Earlier this week I also released a video on the subject more generally for those looking for more information.
Happy to take questions but hopefully this link works fine for everyone!
Cllr Paul Follows
Leader, Waverley Borough Council

  1. Paul Follows MUST resign.

EVERYbody is STILL waiting for him to apologise

EVERYbody is STILL waiting for him to Resign.

His blatant breach of councillor code.

His blatant breach of Nolan principles.

Until then, anything he says is irrelevant.

    Follows.
    RESIGN.

    1. This is grossly unfair. If we printed up all the off-the-cuff remarks recorded on the website over the years, the mayor would probably be the only person left standing. And, if we printed the blatant breaches of the Nolan principles by councillors of all colours, there would be plenty of empty seats at Waverley Towers! If you can do a better job, put your money, time, and effort where your unpleasant mouth is. Being a councillor is a thankless task, and all they hope for at the end is no thanks, just a little grudging respect from people like you, Martin Sorento.

      1. People like me? I’m not the constantly biased one, shovelling Lib Dem propaganda all the time, so I would prefer you not to write to me in that tone.

Being a councillor is a public duty, and an honour. Something that Paul Follows seems to lack in abundance.

When Paul Follows resigns, then we can have grown up conversations about devolution.

        The camera doesn’t lie.

      2. WW agrees the camera doesn’t lie. Perhaps, Mr Sorento, you would watch the Waverley webcast occasionally instead of carping from the sidelines. You might learn a thing or two. Yes, being a councillor IS a public duty and honour that deserves some respect.
We look forward to watching your performance if ever you have the guts to enter the ring, which we doubt! When the Government imposes its will on the people of Surrey, we suspect many of those experienced councillors will no longer be there for you to throw stones at. But no doubt, you will find some other unsuspecting soul to pillory from the sidelines.

      3. We will not allow your disgusting language on our site, Mr. Sorento. Your latest comment has been sent to the trash bin. We respectfully suggest that you seek professional psychiatric help.

    2. Martin – I have actually apologised, to council (at both WBC and SCC) – and very clearly explained what I was talking about.
