The digital deserts of…
“the economically important villages of Cranleigh, Peaslake Bramley, Shamley Green and Gomshall”
Really? Important To Whom? Perhaps JP Morgan, Investec, Black Rock, Fidelity, Bailey Gifford, or Goldman Sachs?
Or so they can get Apps for paying for parking?
It was certainly not important enough for any of the banks, leaving the residents in a banking desert throughout the reign of the Honourable Tory MP for the area, Angela Richardson. By the way, has anyone seen or heard of her since she was ousted?
The former Tory MP did nothing to assist Cranleigh residents or the rural village’s businesses in reaching the outside world on the Internet or by mobile phone during her illustrious career, and neither did her predecessor, Anne Milton.
Don’t forget Beeching and the austerity under the conservatives in the 1960s, when they appointed hi. to destroy the railways for cost savings and leave Cranleigh and other local villages without transport links!
Don’t forget 1960s austerity and Tory appointed Beeching destroying the nations railway infrastructure – leaving Cranleigh and the surrounding villages isolated and prime for the wealthy to establish their Rural Suburban Nirvana.
