    Aged population that for the most part didn’t want their blissful ‘rural’ existence destroyed by ever so nasty industry that would have employed people that would have paid their due into the area to cover the costs. Investment became domestic. Selling of dreams and an economy based on weekends. Affluent stagnation. And time would always win. Because humans get old or broken.

    It was always going to end this way. Some of us were around when WBC was set up, it was a disaster then. And the situation is going to get worse as more people move into the new housing developments, all demanding services and whilst they pay into the system the long-term direction of travel is more call on services. The balance is on the floor with the borough dangling in mid air, a deflated balloon.
    Income not meeting expenditure equals Bust.
    Hands up time.
