Waverley’s Liberal Democrats were jubilant last night as their candidates in elections for a borough councillor for Hindhead, the town councils in Godalming, and Haslemere swept the board.
Julian Spence prompted home to take the Hindhead ward seat following the death of Tory Peter Isherwood – leaving a former Waverley Conservative councillor Ged Hall out in the cold yet again!
The WW even caught Greens Cllr Steve Williams wearing a yellow rosette yesterday!
“Another stunning victory! Welcome to Godalming Town Council, Tom. A well deserved victory” Steve Williams
Does this mean the forced retirement of the elusive Jamie Grant from the local Facebook groups.
As it happened on the night… 😁 https://www.farnhamherald.com/news/politics/how-it-happened-lib-dems-storm-to-victory-in-hindhead-by-elections-552292
