Despite many of us feel that we have had enough elections – there will be more soon.
Surrey residents, including those living in Waverley, are being asked to consider whether they would like to stand in the county council elections. The date earmarked for the poll is Thursday 6 May 2021 – and those interested are invited to attend a meeting on January 29th in Woking.
However, an election for a new Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner takes place this year on Thursday 7th of May.
Here are the results of the 2017 election. After the huge change in the Waverley Borough on May 17 are big changes on the way in Surrey WW wonders?
No Farnham South?
What would we do without you Mr Wright-Smith? Updated.
I think most of us are suffering from Election Fatigue… Surrey CC always seem to do what they want or are told by the Head Honchos – You almost feel like – what is the Point???
Meanwhile here in Milford we are getting ready for a by-election in our ward on Waverley caused by the death of Independent Councillor Jack Lee. He did so well to win as an independent but he was only in office for 6 months before he died. Such a shame.
Election now called and to be held on 13 February.
Let us all hope another Independent takes the lovely Cllr Lee’s place. Our sympathies to his family, such a nice and highly respected man.
However, no doubt Cllr Adam Taylor-Smith will be back on the camaign trail. Will the people of Milford vote for the architect of the Blightwells fiasco?
Oh God no…..I thought he’d learnt his lesson. He’ll certain not find a welcome in these hillsides….
We’ll keep a welcome in the Chamber
We’ll keep a welcome in the Party
The Tories you knew will still be singing
When you come home for one more Barney
