We have heard that the golf course was sold to a group of Indians over a year ago.
Shortly after buying the site for an estimated £9m the planning permission for a hotel and associated golf lodges was renewed with Waverley Planners. However, it is believed locally that this will never go ahead, and the new owners will seek large-scale housing development on the golf course and an adjoining site.
Here’s a message from one of the locals, who regularly uses the PUBLIC footpaths.
“We have heard from many locals walking their dogs on the Golf course that they have been told in no uncertain terms that it is PRIVATE Land and to B**** Off… They seem to forget there are several PUBLIC FOOTPATHS that cross the Golf course – Which we The Public are entitled to use… Even if some of us do Stray occasionally but there is nothing there but Sheep (which we avoid) and lots of Rubbish and Silage which seems to have been dumped…”
After a bracing walk on Wildwood – I came back to notification of them shortening their financial year from March 31st to March 30th Don’t know why they bother as they haven’t filed their accounts for so long.. What a Difference a Day makes ……………..???
Then I noticed this on 10th Dec 2019 – Not sure what it means?? (see attached) – I am sure you and your “little helpers” must be coming to the end of the Festive season soon, so when you do, have a look and see what you can find.
We have to admit that having joined the rest of the world in the Great Christmas – eat, sleep and drink, we are now back to work and raring to go… Happy New Year to all our readers, and thank you for all your help and good wishes.
