AS THE DUNSFOLD PARK ANTI’S HIT THE ROADS DISTRIBUTING THOUSANDS OF LEAFLETS AND APPLYING STICKERS  AND POSTERS ON EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T MOVE – WW WONDERS IF THE BOROUGH OR COUNTY COUNCIL WILL ACT AGAINST  THE ENVIRONMENTAL VANDALISM DAMAGING THE BOROUGH?

Everyone wonders why the scheme for 1,800 houses over there in the East of the borough has only attracted 129 objections and 50 letters of support. Is WW alone in being not in the slightest bit surprised?

Want to know why? Because the whole population of Waverley is quite simply punch drunk with the sheer enormity of planning applications with which they are now faced.

And we all know why – don’t we? Because the dummies that are supposedly governing the borough don’t have the slightest idea whether they are on their a*** or their elbow. 

 NO LOCAL PLAN – NO CONTROL!

NO SAY WITH NEIGHBOURHOOOD PLANS BECAUSE THE LOCAL PLAN HAS TO COME FIRST! 

NO CHIEF PLANNING OFFICER…WHY? BECAUSE HE WAS SEEN  BY WAVERLEY COUNCILLORS AS ‘PRO DEVELOPMENT’ AND COULD NO LONGER DEAL WITH THEIR “POLITICAL CR**” and took himself out of the county!

The Facts: Waverley has to find 519 homes per year for the next 13 years to house the local population – whether they like or not! This figure was based on the Housing Needs Assessment it carried out along with Guildford and Woking Borough Councils.

IN 2013 WBC hung planning officer, poor old Graham Parrot out to dry before a Government Inspector. Just half a day into a hearing into the Examination of the Daft Local Plan in public  he  halted the proceedings. He told Waverley to go back to the drawing board and present a viable Local Plan – which  should include – a realistic number of homes and yes, you guessed – include, the largest brownfield site in the borough. None other than DUNSFOLD PARK.  

Which could be  why so few residents’ are  objecting or supporting  the latest scheme. They know local Waverley Council  dumbos’  are too damned thick to realise that in the end, after millions pounds of taxpayers’ money has been spent/no, wasted, it will probably be a Government Inspector who decides.

So residents are sitting back conserving their energy and waiting for the inevitable….WHY? Because the average man in the street does not  want concrete spread all over Waverley’s green fields and the Waverley Wonkers just won’t listen to them!

Now the Stop Dunsfold Scaremongers  have started a campaign with so much nonsense that it smacks of true desperation. Describing development on a BROWNFIELD SITE as “the  ruination of a rural area.”

• Rubbishing Waverley Council’s Public Consultation, which when it  was conducted, they obviously ignored.
• Claiming Waverley does not need businesses – as they, (the businesses would only hire people from far away!) What utter nonsense!
• Claiming Dunsfold Park wishes to destroy the countryside!

Why don’t they pop down to Godalming and visit the Public Inquiry taking place to-day for 425 houses in Cranleigh – in the countryside where ancient woodland will be destroyed. and on a flood plain. Where were the objectors when the other 300 homes in Cranleigh were given permission a few months ago?

• Claiming DP  want to build Distribution Centres!
• Then the ultimate threat – the developers will bring in  the Nation’s Supermarket Bogeyman Hate Figure – TESCO with its  associated filling station! Oh no – not a filling station that provides “their” cars with fuel!

FOR HEAVENS’ SAKE LET’S BRING SOME SANITY  INTO THIS DEBATE SO THE RESIDENTS’ OF WAVERLEY CAN MAKE A SENSIBLE JUDGEMENT ABOUT WHERE AND WHEN HOMES SHOULD BE BUILT! BECAUSE IT IS NOW STARTING TO LOOK AS THOUGH THE LUNATICS ARE TAKING OVER THE ASYLUM!

The Stop Dunsfold Brigade hasn’t yet  mentioned DP introducing   EBOLA OR the ZIKA VIRUS! but WW is sure if we all wait long enough it will!
