All those squillions spent on Brightwells Yard and despite advertising its retail units all over the South Eas of England there are no takers!
So Surrey County Clounncil that has taken such great care of its pension-fund holders money is forced into giving away a shop rent free for a year.

Those are great suggestions for what has become an economic disaster by the local authority – Surrey County Council – that wants to take over services throughout Surrey. Safe in its hands!
It took years and years in the planning so it’s not a surprise
So why doesn’t Surrey CC carry out a project autopsy to protect the public purse and establish what went wrong or are they seeking to repeat the process? When Surrey CC was asked for their Brightwells financial risk assessment the request was ignored. Now would be a good time for Surrey CC to review the Brightwells’ financial risk assessment. Why are Farnham’s Surrey CC councillors not interested in this gross financial loss? It should fall on Surrey CC pensioners to pay for this loss not the council taxpayers. It appears too few councillors have suitable and sufficient financial competence. If you don’t understand the financial brief, ask.
