Cllr Liz Townsend said a huge thank you and farewell to CEO Tom Horwood. She combined it with a pat on the back for Waverley Training Services, ending with a dig in the ribs for Surrey County Council.
The Portfolio holder for Planning & Economic Development was fulsome in her praise for the man who has faithfully led the organisation through some challenging years. She told her Executive members she was also impressed with the bill of good health earned by Waverley’s Training Services.
However, just fancy Surrey County Council not owning up to the threat of Special Measures imposed by the Government! Not even informing its own county councillors!
During my spell as Borough Councillor I found Tom to be an efficient and helpful CEO and a nice person, I wish him well for his future career.
