What’s going on behind closed doors at Godalming’s Edinburgh Woollen Mill?

There is movement behind the doors at the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill premises, 53-55 High Street in Godalming.
The former clothing shop mannequins are on the move, and the clothes rails have been shunted to the front in an untidy heap – so it looks like something is afoot. Maybe just a bit of a refurb to make it more of an attractive rental?
We can’t find anything on Waverley’s planning lists, and the premises is still apparently on the market for rent, according to the agents
Whisper who dares we heard rumours that we might see the arrival of The Cosy Club; who knows if it’s true?
One of our Godalming moles said:
“It would actually be great to get an M & S Food rather than yet another cafe but the problem is lack of parking. No one wants to have to haul their shopping trolley across the High Street to the Crown Court (nearest) car park and pay £1.10 an hour to boot.”
Guess we will have to wait and see.
