The Tories data harvesting has begun in a bid to snaffle a vacant seat in Milford.

All this transparent crap about, ” Milford being a wonderful  village in which to live and many of you wish to keep it that way.” Truth is the Tories don’t give a damn and are responsible for inflicting  a shedload of housing at Milford golf course, on a site that floods and needs a boardwalk. In fact Waverley’s Chief Tory Whip proposed granting permission for 200 homes – on a wing and a prayer – in the hope that the developer may, just may, reduce the number to 180!

The locals know that Station Road repeatedly floods and where there are inadequate pavements. A road that meets a dangerous junction which is at capacity.

Last night Waverley Planners gave developers the go-ahead to build homes on Milford Golf Course.

So, if the voting fodder, read this and fill in the form from Tory T’s Peter Martin and Carmel Oates and don’t see it for what it is, unadulterated election literature, then all we can say is – poor old Milford!

As for holding the new ‘Independent” council to account – wrong it is a Rainbow coalition of parties which includes Farnham Residents, Independents, Greens and Labour – they must be joking.

Regular readers of the Waverley Web we know why their council finances are not in good shape. Tory Government grant cuts, poor management by the Tories and Blightwells Yard in Farnham. Will ‘Your Waverley’ be shaken and stirred by the shocking revelations on Blightwells?

  1. A similar tactic was used by Jeremy Hunt during the General Election campaign. Didn’t fool many people then (Letters to the Farnham Herald etc) lets hope the Milford residents don’t fall for this cynical ploy.

  2. Wonder if this conforms to the Market Research Society code of conduct and also the new GORD rules on data collection, compilation and storage – pretty sure it will not !

    1. GORD? Do you mean Gastro-Oesophegial Reflux Disease? I know the local Tories come up with a lot of tripe but that sounds uncomfortable.

  3. Since when have the Tories worried about obeying any rules? They do what they like, attempt to fool the public, and are mostly above the rules of the Market Research Society, or anyone else for that matter.

However, as a Milford voter I have confidence in our residents. They are not fooled by this sort of rubbish tactic.

Thankfully the Tories cannot buy votes…yet?
