Is Our NHS safe in his hands … or hers?

Now we at the Waverley Web do not hold with Graffiti – neither do we promote  profanity – but when the Mayor of Farnham prevented the NHS Band from singing a little ditty at the Farnham Park Festival by shutting off the microphones – then really … what do the Tories expect…

Support for Jeremy Hunt?

Read it here: – and there were we thinking   that when you are  Mayor – Mike Hodge, you must be  above politics?

Spotted today on the front of the derelict Wey Inn in Meadow Godalming – that was going to be Tesco’s..

And here’s what Farnham folk are saying:-

Dear WW

Have a look at the posting below and see how Dr Louise Irvine is making inroads into the Conservative’s Jeremy Hunt’s ‘right to rule’ in South West Surrey.

Voters in the recent County Council elections in Farnham could have set a revolutionary trend in this hitherto blue kingdom with Tories turfed out from seats they thought were theirs for evermore.

And what a surprise it must be to the locals that Louise Irvine’s poster boards dominate the suburban hedges around SW Surrey’s largest community, while nothing has been seen of ‘Jermy’ H’s posters.

Well the picture above reveals there is at least one!

Others around the constituency must be told that they have a real chance to make a dramatic change by voting for Dr Irvine and the National Health Action Party. We could send a vital message to the Tories in Government that we will not be taken for granted – especially after this morning’s dreadful news about increased waiting times for NHS operations. How many more people have to suffer before us ordinary folk stand up for a better future for our family, friends and neighbours by signalling at the SW Surrey ballot box that we will not put up with any more cuts and damage to our precious NHS.

Come on SW Surrey vote for Dr Louise Irvine and send that message loud and clear!

Please, please will you find a way to send the message to your constituency-wide readers that they have the power in their hands to change things not only with the County Council and General Election votes but also to go on from there to combine in future in defeating the Waverley Tories who are doing so much harm in this beautiful part of the world? We must be listened to!

Thank you

Dear WW

  1. Maintaining the NHS requires a UK economy that produces more than it spends and that the NHS maintains Aneurin Bevan’s founding principle that “everyone pays.”

Currently the UK is increasing the National Debt by borrowing over £50 billion more than it earns each year. The UK is deep in debt this is why the NHS is in a mess, platitudes seldom fix anything.

The NHS will be under pressure until the UK develops the ability to earn more that it choses to spend. This requires economic competence that has been absent from too many generations of politicians.

  2. I was at the hustings in Farnham Maltings and was appalled at the atrocious behaviour of NHA supporters, particularly towards Hunt, and I am no fan of his, he got more stick than our candidate Mark Webber.

Louise Irving spoke in sound bites and contradicted herself time and again.

She wants free movement of people but then later said that the growing population was putting pressure on Education, housing and the NHS but did not seem to see the connection which is deeply troubling.
